Salthill wins National City Neighbourhoods competition
Galway has clinched top honours in this year's National City Neighbourhoods competition.
The Salthill area of the city was named winner of the competition at an awards ceremony in Dublin this afternoon.
The prize for Ireland's best residential area went to Grantstown village in Waterford city, while Patrick Street in Cork retained the title of best city street.
