Wicklow gap death 'suspicious' - gardaí

Gardaí confirmed this afternoon they are treating the discovery of a man's body in the Wicklow Gap as suspicious.

A passing motorist found the remains on Annalecka Bridge between Glendalough and Hollywood.

It has been reported the man was shot – and gardaí confirmed he suffered serious head injuries.

Technical examinations have been carried out at the scene and the State Pathologist is due to arrive later.
