SVP demands Govt action on poverty

The Society of St Vincent de Paul is demanding that the Government take action to break the cycle of poverty in the forthcoming Budget.

In its pre-Budget submission, the society is calling for measures to tackle child poverty and educational disadvantage, as well as improvements in the health services and social housing.
