‘No ransom paid to free Rory Carroll’- Minister

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dermot Ahern, confirmed today that no ransom was paid to free the kidnapped Irish journalist, Rory Carroll, in Baghdad.

However, there has been no comment on whether Iraqi prisoners were freed in a swap deal.
