Government deports 50 asylum seekers

A plane carrying up to 50 Nigerian asylum-seekers has departed from Dublin Airport for Lagos.

The failed asylum-seekers were served with deportation orders from Michael McDowell’s Justice Department and taken from their accommodation by gardaí in the last few days.
