Petition urges government to be 'genuine' in aid commitment

The Department of Foreign Affairs has received a public petition as part of UN International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

Over twelve thousand people signed the petition which urges the Government to keep their commitment to spend point seven percent of GDP on overseas aid by 2012.
