Man shot in paramilitary-style attack
Police were today investigating the attempted murder of a man in a paramilitary-style shooting in County Antrim.
The man, 23, was found with gunshot wounds to his legs and arm in the hallway of a flat in Newtownabbey at 1.30am.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said the man had been viciously beaten and left to die.
He was taken to hospital, where his condition was said to be serious but stable.
Police have appealed for anyone who saw suspicious activity around the flat in Hollybank Drive, Monkstown between midnight and 1.30am to contact them.
