Charity calls for Ryanair boycott

Ryanair is facing fresh criticism today following its controversial decision to ask a number of blind and partially sighted passengers off a plane.

Nine people, who were among a group of blind people travelling to Italy, were forced to leave their flight shortly before it was due to take off from Standsted.

The low fares airline said for safety reasons it can’t carry any more than four disabled passengers per flight.

The British charity Scope is calling for a Ryanair boycott.

However the company claims its policy is in line with other airlines.
