North: Man facing schoolgirl abduction charge
A 20-year-old man will appear in court today charged with the abduction of a schoolgirl in the North.
Emma Wilson, 15, was found near Central Station in Belfast on Wednesday, almost a week after she went missing.
Police confirmed the man, who was arrested on the same day, has been charged in connection with the incident and will appear before North Antrim Magistrates’ Court later today.
Emma, from Portrush on the north Antrim coast, had not been seen since leaving her home last Thursday.
Detectives involved in the hunt had earlier checked ports as fears grew.
It is believed she was in the Portrush area until Tuesday morning, when she boarded a train for Belfast.
But as officers watched airports and ferry terminals, she was finally found in the city centre.
