County councillors seeking taxpayer-funded pensions

Ireland's county councillors are reportedly seeking pensions in a move that would cost taxpayers tens of millions of euro every year.

Reports this morning said councillors from all the main political parties were seeking pensions of up to €7,000 annually, despite the fact that they only work part-time.
