Aviation body investigating engine failure on Ryanair jet

The Irish Aviation Authority is investigating the engine failure that led to a Ryanair jet making an emergency landing in Shannon last Friday.

The London-bound aircraft had taken off from Knock with 99 passengers and five crew on board when the engine failed around half an hour into the flight.
