CSO reports decrease in Live Register figures

The Central Statistics Office has reported a decrease of 2,700 in the number of people claiming unemployment benefits last month.

The CSO said 159,100 were on the Live Register in September, a decrease of 2,700 since August and of 7,000 since the same month last year.
