Human rights body slams rushed introduction of new laws

The Human Rights Commission has accused the Government of rushing laws through the Oireachtas without allowing enough time to consider their implications.

In its latest annual report, the commission said legislation that often had serious human rights implications was being rushed in without any detailed debate.
