New service to provide support for people with disabilities

It is hoped that a new advocacy service will help empower people with disability to assert their rights and claim entitlements from state agencies and Government departments.

Initially, 13 groups around the country will receive almost €2m between them to provide trained mediators, who can represent and negotiate on behalf of a disabled person.
