The Labour Party has condemned a decision by the Mater Hospital to defer the testing of an anti-cancer drug because those involved would be required to use contraception.

Reports this morning said the drug was being tested at several hospitals around the State, but the Mater's ethics committee decided last week to defer a decision on whether to get involved.
