Govt ‘planning tighter spending in upcoming Budget’

The Government is reportedly planning to take a tougher approach to spending in the forthcoming Budget.

Reports this morning said Finance Minister Brian Cowen had told cabinet colleagues that spending would rise by no more than 8%.
