Gardaí name victim of fatal Co Westmeath hit-and-run

Gardaí have named the victim of last night's fatal hit-and-run in County Westmeath.

He was 37-year-old Paul Fitzgerald, of Raharney, who died following a collision near Mullingar.

The vehicle, which was not believed to have been stolen, was abandoned at the scene and Gardaí are still trying to trace the driver.
