A man is in intensive care today after a gun attack in Waterford city.

A man was in intensive care in today after a gun attack in Waterford city.

The man, 26, was shot in a house in Clonard Park in the Ballybeg Estate shortly before midnight.

The man’s condition, at Waterford Regional Hospital, has been described as serious but stable.

Gardaí said an investigation was under way.
