Call for Govt to update drugs treatment programme
The Europe Against Drugs group has called on the Government to update its drugs treatment programmes to tackle the growing cocaine use problem in Ireland.
A new UN report highlighted the fact that we rank third out of all EU countries for high rates of cocaine use.
The group said the Government needs to revise its methadone treatment scheme as this only deals with heroin addiction.
President of EURAD Gráinne Kenny said that urgent action is necessary.
