IRA to dump arms 'in the near future'

Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams said today the IRA was going to honour its commitment to dump its arms in the ’near future’.

At a speech to thousands of Sinn Fein supporters in Dublin, the Sinn Féin leader added to the growing belief that the IRA are about to carry an unprecedented act of decommissioning, following their July 28 statement which signalled the end of the armed struggle.
