Doctors' groups at odds over new contract negotiations

Ireland's two main doctors' groups have adopted conflicting stances in relation to negotiations on new contracts for hospital consultants.

The Irish Medical Organisation, which represents around 700 consultants, has decided to end its boycott of the talks, which it imposed due to a dispute over medical negligence insurance.
