Rossport Five campaign continues

Supporters of the Rossport Five will be back in force today.

They are planning to blockade Statoil's premises in Dublin's docklands and a rally will also be held in Sligo town.

The Norwegian oil company has a third of a stake in the proposed Shell Corrib gas pipeline which residents in Co Mayo are opposed to.

The five men, who were sent to jail in June for breaching a High Court order barring them from protesting at the Corrib site, are standing by a decision not to purge their contempt.
