Transport TDs from all parties fail mock driving test
The transport spokespeople from Ireland's main political parties have all failed a mock driving test set up by a Dublin radio station.
Junior Transport Minister Ivor Callelly, Fine Gael's Olivia Mitchell, Labour's Roisin Shorthall, Sinn Fein's Sean Crowe, Tom Morrissey from the PDs and the Green Party's Eamonn Ryan all sat the test in June.
The radio station Newstalk 106 has now revealed that the entire group failed to exhibit the skills needed to pass.
The outcome would appear to support calls for continuous testing of motorists, something the TDs themselves all advocate.
