Murder investigation continuing in Mullingar

A murder investigation is continuing in Co Westmeath today following the death of an 82-year-old man in Mullingar over the weekend.

Mick Creighton was found dead in his apartment on Castle Street on Sunday after Gardaí were contacted by worried relatives.

He had been tied up and beaten and may have been dead for a number of days.
