McCartney women 'icons of courage'

The sisters and partner of murdered Belfast man Robert McCartney were tonight hailed as “icons of courage” for waging their campaign of justice against his killers.

Last January’s fatal stabbing of the father-of-two by alleged IRA members caused public outrage and plunged the Northern Ireland peace process into deep crisis.
