Residents hospitalised after apartment blaze

A number of people have been taken to hospital following a fire in Dublin city centre this afternoon.

It is understood the blaze broke out at an apartment block near the Capel Street Bridge on Ormond Quay.

Emergency services are at the scene tackling the fire and traffic is being diverted. Gardaí have advised motorists to avoid the area if possible.
