Cigarette sales on the rise

Cigarette sales are on the increase despite the smoking ban, with shopowners reporting a rise, according to Grocery magazine ‘Shelf Life’.

However, retailers claim it has nothing to do with more people smoking. Retailers are putting the rise down to an active campaign by gardaí against illegal tobacco.
