Gardaí name man found shot dead in north Dublin

Gardaí have named the man found shot dead in north Dublin yesterday as 29-year-old Andrew Dillon, from Berryfield Road in Finglas.

Mr Dillon's body was found in a ditch on Green Lane, near the Ward area of Finglas, at around 4pm yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí said he had been shot a number of times in the head in a gangland-style execution.

A post mortem is being carried out on the body today and forensic examinations are continuing at the scene.
