Mowlam’s health deteriorates at hospice
Friends of Mo Mowlam have revealed that the former Northern Secretary has suffered another deterioration in her health at a hospice in Canterbury.
The 55-year-old, who had previously suffered a brain tumour, is currently critically ill and was moved from hospital to the hospice last week to be closer to her family.
Ms Mowlam, who presided over the drafting of the Good Friday Agreement, was one of New Labour's most popular figures.
She resigned as an MP at the 2001 election following 14 years at Westminster.
