The family of the late Richie Barron said this afternoon that they had turned down a request from the Attorney General to agree to reopen the inquest into his death.

Mr Barron died after he was found lying on a roadside near Raphoe in Donegal nine years ago and the Garda handling of the inquiry into his death led to the Morris Tribunal.
