Inflation up to 2.4% in July

Consumer index-linked prices remained unchanged in July but, as there was a 0.3% decrease in the same month last year, the rate of inflation has risen from 2.1% to 2.4% year-on-year.

Consumer index-linked prices remained unchanged in July but, as there was a 0.3% decrease in the same month last year, the rate of inflation has risen from 2.1% to 2.4% year-on-year.

The EU Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) decreased by 0.1% in the month, compared to a decrease of 0.4% in July 2004. The annual rate of inflation, as measured by the HICP, rose from 1.9% in June to 2.2% in July.
