Medical card delay likely as talks collapse

The introduction of GP-only medical cards could be delayed even further following the collapse of talks yesterday between doctors and health service employers.

The two sides met under the auspices of the Labour Relations Commission to discuss issues surrounding the new cards, which the Government wants to issue to 200,000 people.
