LRC to host talks on new medical cards

Doctors and health service employers are due to meet at the Labour Relations Commission today to discuss issues surrounding the introduction of GP-only medical cards.

Doctors and health service employers are due to meet at the Labour Relations Commission today to discuss issues surrounding the introduction of GP-only medical cards.

Under the move, up to 200,000 people will receive medical cards that cover the cost of visiting the doctor, but not the cost of any medicines prescribed.
