Girl raped twice in front of friends

A teenage girl has been raped twice in front of her friends, police in the North said today.

The victim, 15, was robbed and attacked in west Belfast by an older youth wielding a screwdriver.

Three boys she was with were ordered to strip to the waist and battered with a metal bar by a second thug.

The first attack happened on Black’s Road just before 3am, police said.

All four friends were walking towards the Lisburn Road when they were stopped by the armed pair heading in the opposite direction.

Cash and mobile phones were stolen before the girl was dragged into a BP petrol station forecourt and subjected to a serious sexual assault.

Her friends, two 15-year-olds and one aged 14, were threatened and beaten as they tried to rescue her.

They were all then taken up a driveway at the nearby Colin Valley Golf Centre where the girl was raped again.

Police described her ordeal as horrific and urged anyone with information on those responsible, both thought to be in their late teens, to contact investigating detectives.
