Shell defers Corrib pipeline work ‘to allow for dialogue’

The global oil giant Shell has announced plans to defer work on the offshore section of its controversial pipeline project in Co Mayo.

The company received permission from the Government earlier this week to start building the offshore section of a pipeline due to bring gas onshore from the Corrib field.
