Govt accused of doing nothing to tackle fuel price rises

Fine Gael TD Richard Bruton has accused the Government of deliberately doing nothing to tackle spiralling fuel prices because of the tax it receives on petrol and diesel.

His comments follow claims from the AA that the average price of unleaded petrol has increased by five cents a litre over the past fortnight alone.
