Harney backs Larkin appointment to new consumer body

The Tánaiste, Mary Harney, has reportedly come out in support of the belated appointment of Celia Larkin to the board of the new National Consumer Agency.

Ms Larkin, a former partner of the Taoiseach, was appointed to the board by Bertie Ahern's office weeks after the other 12 members were announced publicly.
