New body takes control of immigration issues

A new body has been established within the Department of Justice to take overall control of asylum, immigration and visa issues.

The Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service will be in charge of the current asylum, immigration and citizenship structures and will also take over the role of the visa section within the Department of Foreign Affairs.
