Treacy to attend Srebenica ceremony

The Minister for European Affairs, Noel Treacy, is flying out to Bosnia this evening to represent the Government at a ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre.

The Minister for European Affairs, Noel Treacy, is flying out to Bosnia this evening to represent the Government at a ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre.

Political leaders from the western Balkans will join international representatives at the event tomorrow in memory of the 8,000 men and boys who were killed and buried in mass graves in 1995.

Deputy Tracy will also meet with members of the Defence Forces and the gardaí serving with EU peacekeeping forces in Bosnia.
