Safety campaign targets bad drivers
Bad drivers are being targeted in a new National Safety Council campaign aimed at reducing the death toll on our roads.
The NCC claims that we have some of the worst driving habits in the world, and is spending €300,000 to make us more careful.
The council said that many drivers don't know basic rules for overtaking, or for manoeuvring on motorways and roundabouts.
The NSC's Alan Richardson said today that Irish drivers don't pay attention to crucial road rules and warned the driver testing system needs to be updated.
