Woman seriously injured in bus and car smash

A young woman is in a serious condition after a bus carrying 50 young people crashed into a car on the Cork-Waterford Road near Midleton.

The driver of the car, a young woman, was seriously injured, but none of the children were harmed.

It’s understood the driver of the car was on her way to Dungarvan, Co Waterford, and the bus was travelling towards Cork, when the accident happened shortly after midday.
