The Labour Party has hit out at the Government's attitude to the Dáil as TDs prepare to take their annual three-month summer break.

Party leader Pat Rabbitte said it was shameful the Fianna Fáil-Progressive Democrats coalition was refusing to extend the current term by one week to debate important legislation, including the Garda Bill and the Disability Bill.
