Hospitals urged to redouble recycling effort

The Government's spending watchdog has called on Irish hospitals to boost their recycling efforts and improve the way they manage waste.

John Purcell, the Comptroller and Auditor General, said hospitals would face massively increased waste bills in the future if they failed to implement change.
