IMO doctors to be balloted on GP-only medical-card deal

The Irish Medical Organisation (IMO) has recommended acceptance of Labour Relations Commission (LRC) proposals that will pave the way for the introduction of doctor-only medical cards this year.

The LRC proposals were put forward in an effort to resolve a dispute between the IMO and the Department of Health over a number of pay issues.
