Elderly woman dies in overnight house fire in Skibbereen

A woman in her 90s has died in an overnight fire at her home in Skibbereen, Co Cork.

The blaze broke out in the house at Millview Terrace on Market Street shortly before 10.30pm.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination, but gardaí said they are not treating the fire as suspicious.
