A man is in a stable condition in hospital after being shot in the face and upper body in Limerick in the early hours of this morning.

A man is in a stable condition in hospital after being shot in the face and upper body in Limerick in the early hours of this morning.

The shooting happened on Ballyclough Avenue at around 2am.

No further details are available, but the victim's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
