Crime victim groups get €80k funding

Two groups working with the victims of crime are to receive funding of almost €80,000.

Women's Aid Dublin is to get €28,000 to help in providing court accompaniment for victims of domestic violence.

The Rape Crisis Network has been allocated €50,000 to provide the same service to victims of sexual violence.

The money is the first allocation of funding to be given by the new Commission for the Support of Victims of Crime.
