Lenihan: Ireland will increase overseas aid
The Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Conor Lenihan, said today that Ireland will increase its overseas aid over the coming years.
Minister Lenihan said he is welcoming the announcement that the G8 nations are to cancel the debt of the world's poorest nations, but admits that this must be followed up by an increase in aid.
