Gardaí probe shooting attack

Gardaí were investigating today after a man was injured in a shotgun attack near Kinsale, Co Cork.

The shooting occurred at Roberts Cove between Kinsale and Carrigaline at around 5am.

One man, who suffered pellet wounds, was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment following the attack. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A second man was assaulted following the shooting and he was also taken to hospital for treatment.
