Two men were killed in a slurry tank incident on a farm in Northern Ireland, it emerged tonight.

Two men were killed in a slurry tank incident on a farm in Northern Ireland, it emerged tonight.

It is understood a huge container burst, covering the victims in its contents.

Police and fire crews were called to the scene at Katesbridge in Co Down today.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman confirmed: “We are at the scene of the incident and two men have died.

“The circumstances are being investigated and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.”
